Do you have an office onsite?
Yes, we are locally owned and operated. We also operate GB Electric and full time staff are in Unit 4 (two down from the storage building unit) at 541 Hwy 2, Elmsdale, NS.
Do I need insurance?
We recommend each tenant have content insurance to protect their possessions. Insurance providers should be able provide a quote for content insurance.
Can I store anything?
No. Contaminates and toxic items and any other items that are harmful to the environment is not permitted.
What are my options for making payments?
Cash, cheque, or credit card (Visa and MasterCard). We can automatically process your credit card at the beginning of each month.
What if I rent a unit and it is not large enough for my belongings?
You can select another unit at the time of the move, or at any later date. Your rate will change to the new amount at the time of the change.
Is there a minimum number of months that I need to commit to?
No. If you only need one month than that is fine.
Are there restrictions on the size of trucks that can access the property?
No, there is plenty of room for tractor trailers.
Are there any units that are heated and cooled?
Yes, heat and cooling is provided with ductless heat pumps and electric baseboard as a backup.
Can I access 24 hours per day?
Yes, you have access 24/7/365.
Do you charge a security deposit?
Yes, $30 that is returned when you check out.
Do you sell packing and moving supplies?
No. However there are often free boxes available at NSCC, Sobeys, and Superstore.
Do I have to supply my own lock?
Yes, you may use any combination or keyed padlock to protect your belongings. Below is a picture of a quality lock with a great design to protect against bolt cutters.
